Parallel Lines

I have only just seen the film ‘Yesterday’, a remarkable take on waking up in a world where nobody, except you, has heard of The Beatles. Do you make you living out of singing their songs as if they are you own?

Now I feel that I am in a parallel universe where the rapist is the victim and the raped are the perpetrators. It seems as if all women have vaginas so they can be blamed for being raped. Even female babies. no? All paedophiles are victims of their families so whatever they do has to be allowed. They are the victim, not the children. We must forgive them, but not ask the children if they forgive them. This is the world I seem to have woken up to at present.

South Africa, which is owned by China, the Tik Tok alogorithms that run your lives and information, and that of journalists too lazy or stupid to do research, took Israel to court for Israel having been attacked, mutilated, raped, burnt alive and babies microwaved, all on film by the perpatrators. And still these events are denied even though the perpatrators filmed them. This is the dystopic world that George Orwell warned us about and is happening.

I am told that context counts. Having a vagina is a context. Does that mean you deserve to be raped if you have one?

Nothing, no context, no history, no feelings of grief, annoyance, anger, abandonment, fear or rage justifies the actions of October 7th 2023.

NO-THING.

But what I am feeling about this parellel universe is that South Africa, not exactly the paradigm of human rights, is taking Israel to court for genocide.

The Jewish people have experienced attempts at Genocide for thousands of years. The Christians (and therefore Europe) cannot stop their attempts at Genocide against Jews. In the 21st century Antisemitism is rife. I never trust an antisemite. If they are an antisemite they are lying about not being racist, mysoginistic, and a whole host of other prejudices.

But not only Europe, the bastion of Christianity nowadays. The USA, a Christian country in all but name, suffers from this anitsemitic trope- the Jews killed Jewsus so they deserve to die. This has been the trope for 2000 years. Apparently, Collective Responsibility is not allowed, unless directed at Jews, so every Jew alive today is responsible for the death of Jesus, even though the Romans did it actually, but no German is responsible for WW2 or any Muslim for ISIS etc.

The false tropes (the blood libel where Jews are said to make Matzos – flour and water bread biscuits similar to those used now in Christian comminion services- out of Christian childrens blood). I wonder what Moses and the Israelites made Matzos out for 1000 years before Christian (or Muslim) children existed? So much stupid that I must be in a parallel universe. The Jews are the people that brought a stop to human sacrifice and the eating of blood, any blood from any animal. The Christians are the ones that not only eat Black Pudding (congealed blood) but commemorate the sacrifice (kill) of their human/God each week, eat his flesh and drink his blood. Gosh.

So what is this truly about?

The Christians and Muslims are still fighting the Crusades since about 1100 CE. It is boring, but there it is. Christianity and Islam are both Proselytising religions. I think this point is important. We are not sat here worrying about the Hindus, Jains, Buddhists or Jews coming to force us to convert. We are sat here worrying about the Christians and Muslims converting people. Proselytising is a form of Imperialism which has colonial consequences. If you look at a map of the world (or at my post Maps) you will see that most of the world has been colonised by Christianity or Islam. Not by Jews!

Christianity spread by the Roman invasion and colonialisation of Israel. Like many colonialists, the Roman Empire (colonialists) changed the name of countries they invaded, in this case they changed the name of the country of Israel to Palestine. The British did the same with their empires: for example Mynemar/Burma; SriLanka/Ceylon.

Israel is Palestine and Palestine is Israel. Israel is the non-colonial name for the colonial Palestine. Palestine itself was never an independent state, never had a flag of its own, a currency, a language or a leader. Israel was a country of its own as in the Bible and the New Testament and in the Quran. The Romans killed Jewsus and blamed the Jews. They knew a lot about the Hebrew religion and incorporated it into their propaganda. They were the Russians of their day.

By this logic, and I am sorry, but logic seems to have been lost on a generation that does coding, all Palestinians have to be Jewish to be Palestinians and all Jews are also Palestinian.

The people who are now playing all of us are the Russians. They are still fighting the Cold War since 1917 (not just since 1945). Look at the USA. Trump (Trumpsky) visited Moscow and became President of the USA rather than Clinton.

Now everybody is saying it is Iran that is responible for all that is happening in the Middle East. The Arabs are stupidly allowing this too, but it is not the whole truth. Russia is playing Iran. When Russia gets what it wants it will discard Iran in the same way it did in Syria and the way it treated the Chechniyas (a Muslim country) who it is now using against Ukraine. Wake Up!

Why is Russia doing it? It wants to destabilise the West (Europe and America) and the Middle East so that it grabs power. It is using China to help. Africa, had been colonised by Christians and Muslims is now being colonised by Russia and China. So are the Caribbean Islands. So is South America, the Middle East and the Far East Russia is very rich in resources and poor on human numbers (China is the reverse). All these ‘independent’ countries think they are so clever, until payback time. Wakey wakey.

It never ceases to amaze me in this parallel universe, that people of African descent become Muslim or Christian, the religions of their oppressors. And that is another reason Jews are hated. They didn’t convert to Christianity or Islam. Like their God, the God of Abraham. they not only have faith, but also loyalty. It is a relationship and their God is not a fickle God, one minute choosing the Jews to spread the message, then dropping them and choosing the Christians or the Muslims. The God of Abraham does not do divorce. Despair perhaps, but not divorce. So the God of Abraham, the Jewish God, is still the God of the Jews. God didn’t swap sides like some childish football supporter or adulterer.

The woke left thinks itself incredibly clever too. G!d save me from Clever CLogs. They can argue themselves into a knot. Once you lose a moral compass and invent your own, you are prone to Fascism and that is where the woke left is going.

The payback will be intense. North Korea is not the place I would wish on you all, but it is the place you are all building.

Gaza could have been the Singapore of the Middle East. It was an independent state, hugely funded by the West with villas and hotels (all those visitors) and the ability to go on holiday too, just like others. Many people lived on welfare. That they allowed their sons, husbands and brothers to behvave as they do tells me a lot about the women as those men would not sleep easy in my house.

So while you are anti-Israel and anti-Jews (please don’t tell me they are separate, I am not stupid) you are being played. You are believing the perpetrators.

Israel is the open prison surrounded by stupid easily led regimes. Israel is the victim of abuse and hatred. Israel is the victim of attempted genocide in every generation. And you are buying into the Russian propaganda machine. Wake up the Woke ups.

Do Jews and Christians share a common religion?

I keep being told that Jews and Christians share a common heritage. I am very unsure that is true.

I think there are some ethnic commonalities among a very few number of Jews who became Christians, but the number of them is so small to be insignificant among the numbers of Christians.

Culturally, there are very few similarities too. Most cultures derive from geographical locations rather than religous beliefs. Christians in the UK have a different culture to Christians in Nigeria or Peru, for example. Some of their religious practices also differ. Has nobody noticed this? Among Jews who have been expelled from their homeland and lived all over the planet, there is still a lot of commonality and we have been praying to return to our homeland for 2000 years. If you think of us as Native Americans or Aborigines, you would understand us better.

In terms of belief, the difference between Christians and Jews are immense.  Jews are not Christians who don’t believe in Jesus.  Christianity comes out of Imperialism and the Roman Empire.  However, among most people, and I include highly academic ones, there is little understanding of this fact. Most people seem to think Judaism is a precursor religion to Christianity, just without Jesus, and, on top of that, the Jewish God is the same as the Christian one and that the Hebrew Bible, the Tanakh, has hints of Jesus in it, a bit like a crystal ball or predictions.

So let us summarise:

  1. Judaism does not believe in Original Sin. Adam and Eve had to eat from the Tree of Knowledge or they would not have free will and be able to be grown ups, leave Eden and attempt to finish creation. The creation story shows a God who allows humans to interact in creation.
  2. Judaism does not believe that you can die for another’s sins. You die for your own sins. Occasionally, the children have to die too as they are so amoral/immoral, but usually, you die for your own sins. Nobody can die or sacrifice themselves for another’s sins.
  3. Judaism does not believe in a human God. End of.
  4. Judaism defines what a messiach may be and as the term messiach /messiah is a Hebrew term from Judaism, it seems best to let Judaism and Jews decide rather than appropriate the term.
  5. The term ‘virgin’ that is thought to be hinted at in later books of the Tanakh is, in fact, ‘young woman’ (almah). A different word is used for virgin. So there is no foreshadowing of a virgin birth in the Tanakh. In Judaism, sexual intercourse is not frowned upon and the physical body is also important. There is a prayer for everything, even going to the toilet. The idea is to raise everything into holiness/praise, not avoid eating, drinking, fornicating etc. Just to do it appropriately, healthily.
  6. The God that the Jews believe in is one of Compassion. There are 13 attributes that God uses to describe God in a way humans could understand and Compassion ranks high amongst them. These 13 attributes are called the Attributes of Mercy. Mercy trumps Justice.  The God of the Old Testament is not the God of the Tanakh.
  7. Adam and Eve are not Christian. They are not Jewish or Muslim either. They are the first humans. No rules, morals or beliefs have been given at this stage apart from not to eat from a certain tree. But you need to eat from the Tree to move onto the choice stage, to be able to choose, to be adult. God learns that too. God learns about humans in the Torah!
  8. Chosen because they chose God. It is a two way street.
  9. There is no foreshadowing of Jesus or Mohammad in the Torah or in the entire Hebrew Bible (Tanakh). They are not there because the Tanakh was written BEFORE they were born, by about 1000 years. The prophets are not predictors of the future. They are speaking to their now, what is happening. They are there to remind us of the Torah, not to invent some saviour. We are meant to save ourselves (be adult) by following the Torah, a blueprint for how to live in societies, a guidebook and self-help book.
  10. The word for ‘Sacrifice’ in Hebrew is Korbanot. It means ‘to draw closer’ and does not mean ‘to give up’. The sacrifice is shared with God. We share the table. It is about hospitality. God creates a place for humans and in return we make the place we were given by God as beautiful and hospitable (holy) as possible in return in the hope that God will visit.  We have not, so far, done a great job at our side of the agreement given the amount of our filth and trash and pollution on the planet. Shame on all of us.
  11. Judaism forbids human sacrifice. So sacrificing your child for others is unthinkable and forbidden. ‘Do not give your child over to the Molech’. No human sacrifice and certainly not to atone for somebody else’s sins (see point 2 above).
  12. The God of the Jews forbids eating blood, any blood of any animal. So the flesh and blood of a human are repulsive ideas. The blood libel is ludicrous. Matzos are made of flour and water. Christians and Muslims did not exist for 1000 years after the exile so what were we making Matzos from all that time? We don’t eat human flesh or any blood.  Get over it.
  13. Christians eat the flesh and drink the blood of their God each week. This is a Roman practice. The Romans used Christianity to push back against Israel, which they renamed Palestine in an act of Colonialism and enslavement. To be a Palestinian you had to be a Jew. That you have colonised the ancient homeland, Israel and renamed it is the same act as the Romans.
  14. Shabbat is not a punishment. It is a holiday and celebrates creation every week by stopping creating. We are commemorating creation every week in appreciation and gratitude for being her.
  15. Things get separated into kosher (useful/appropriate) and not kosher (inappropriate for humans). That’s it. It is to do with sparks (energy) that can be used by humans and sparks that can’t.
  16. Judaism has practice as central (living a kosher/appropriate life) but it has a huge spiritual exploration to explain the practices. It is not a fundamental religion and has used a system of exegesis and hermeneutics for 2000 years at least, before others existed, which is called by an acronym: PARDES. Judaism has spent the last 3000 years interpreting these words, making them relevant and useful to human life. You have not understood it and have read it through a distorted, colonialist lens.
  17. Victimhood as a culture is not part of Judaism even if Jews have been victims and are preferred when they are victims and lose (are dead)! How very cruel. The idea of the victim as being deserving is very useful from a Roman Imperial perspective. How to tame a rebellious population? Delay reward until death. Judaism thinks the reward is being alive, here, now on the planet and that this is such a wonderful gift that we should make our homes and lives as good as possible so as to welcome God as a visitor into them as thanks for being here, now.  Judaism works to avoid poverty and oppression and to celebrate this planet as a home for all.
  18. Jesus seems to have been a Jew living in Israel under Roman occupation. The Romans killed him.
